A real French bistro in the heart of Park Slope, that happens to be real kosher too. I emphasize this HAPPENS TO BE because the chef is a French chef and the staff a mixed bunch (Jewish/non-Jewish). This usually makes for better food and a better dining experience.
I had the rack of lamb, which was excellent and presented well. The wine selection was great. Warm baguette came out in abundance. And let me tell you, as someone who has been to Paris many times and has family in France, the baguettes alone are worthy of this entire review. I finished it off with a wonderfully warmed deep chocolate cake.
This place is no joke when it comes to French cuisine. BTW, for the healthy, vegeterian, dairy-free crowd, Chagall looks like an excellent choice for Sunday brunch.
They also have a lounge space in the back which features live music with Parisian flare.
Park Slope is happy to welcome the latest kosher eatery!!
Chagall Bistro offers flavorful French Cuisine under the OK supervision, and possibilities for private parties and community events with a separate lounge
