Welcome to Shmoogle The Jewish Source

Welcome to Shmoogle — The Jewish Source

One home for the things that matter to Jewish life: where to eat, where to gather, what's happening, and who to know.

If you've ever found yourself with a dozen browser tabs open — one for kosher restaurants, one for shul times, one for an event you half-remember hearing about, one for a community group chat you can't scroll back far enough in — this is for you. Shmoogle exists to pull all of that into a single place. We're building the Jewish source: a warm, trustworthy hub for living a connected Jewish life, wherever you are.

The name is a wink, but the mission is serious. For too long, the information that holds a community together has been scattered across flyers on a bulletin board, word of mouth, and search results that don't quite understand what you're looking for. We think you deserve better than guessing whether a place is really kosher or whether an event is still happening. So we're gathering it, checking it, and laying it out simply.

What You'll Find Here

Shmoogle is organized around the rhythms of real Jewish life — the everyday and the special occasions alike:

Kosher Dining — From hidden strip-mall gems to the world's first kosher Michelin-starred kitchen, discover where to eat with confidence.

Local Guides — Synagogues, mikvahs, shops, and services, mapped community by community so you're never far from home.

Events & Happenings — Shabbat dinners, lectures, holiday programs, and simchas — what's on, and where.

Stories & News — The people, places, and milestones worth knowing about, told with care and a little joy.

Built on Trust

A source is only as good as its reliability. We take that seriously. When we tell you a restaurant is kosher, an event is happening, or a business is worth your time, we want you to be able to act on it without a second thought. That standard shapes everything we publish — and we'd rather say less than say something we're not sure of.

"A community runs on good information shared generously. That's what we're here to provide."

This Is Your Place, Too

Shmoogle gets better the more the community shapes it. Know a restaurant we should feature? Running an event that deserves a wider audience? Spot something out of date? Tell us. The best Jewish source isn't built in a vacuum — it's built together, the way good things in our communities always have been.
